How we score broker matchups
A brawl without rules is noise. These five rounds keep comparisons honest across brands and account types.
Short answer
Win at least three rounds and pass licence fit. If licence fit fails, the matchup ends — cost wins do not override regulatory access.
Round rules
Detailed explanation
| Round | Pass condition | Auto-fail |
|---|---|---|
| Licence fit | Named entity on a public register for your residency | No searchable entity / wrong region entity |
| All-in cost | Lower total cost on same pair/session/account class | Mismatched account types |
| Execution model | Clearer conflict disclosure + plausible model | Vague “best execution” only |
| Withdrawals | Successful small live test with documented fees | Deposit-only ease, opaque payouts |
| Risk honesty | Visible retail risk warning + product risk copy | Hidden or missing disclosure |
Example
Broker X wins cost and withdrawals. Broker Y wins licence fit, execution clarity, and risk honesty. Y takes the matchup 3–2 even if X looks cheaper on a screenshot.
Common mistake
Letting a viral “spread battle” video replace rounds 1 and 5. Cheap plus unlicensed is still a fail.
Professional tip
Write the account type on every scorecard line. Raw vs standard can flip the cost round by itself. For incentive context, see this A-book vs B-book explainer.
